Share the Joy link up #15

Share the Joy link up #15

Can your real and virtual lives collide happily?

Last week I was so excited to host Tinuke and her lovely daughter Princess from Circus Mums and Kinkdred Spirit over at The Barn. We’ve only met a couple of times in person but, like many bloggers, we chat almost daily online and share a love of travel having both spent some time living in China.

Having been an anonymous blogger for a while before I ‘came out’ it surprised me at first how easily my real and virutal lives collided – friendships made online actually can transfer to your offline life – and it was so lovely to sit and chat over endless coffee and croissants while our two mini-mes played.

So with Britmums Live just around the corner and more than a few newbie bloggers getting a bit trembly about attending, I want to say to them – don’t worry! We’ve all been there, wondering how our real and virutal lives will come together and, believe me, it can be the most joyful of collisions.

Right, on to the link up!

Thank you so much to everyone that joined in last week – the most link ups so far! I’m loving reading all your joyful posts and I hope that sharing the joy brightens your day too.

Don’t forget that all genres are welcome here – new posts or old favourites. Posts that might have made you laugh out loud, opened your heart, raised your spirits or just made you smile!

Sharing my joy

Each week, I’ll pick a favorite post and feature it on the following week’s Share the Joy link up (I’ve also made a  where you’ll find all my favorites in one place).

Syblings header

Last week one of the last posts to link up was a fab one from Jen at new find Syblings.com – Comparing myself to the radiant woman. I loved this so much and it raises some interesting questions about comparing ourselves to others which an have a profound effect on our happiness.

This week I’m sharing a guest post from Annabel Woolmer with some fab advice about how you can apply cooking fun to your children’s schema and a delicious afternoon tea that my Mother and I shared at the wonderful Lancaster London hotel last weekend – I thoroughly recommend it for some decadent me-time!

Let’s Share the Joy!

1) Link up posts that have brought you JOY – Writing them might have made you laugh out loud, opened your heart, raised your spirits or just made you smile. All genres are welcome, new posts or old favourites and as many links as you like!

2) Link back to me either by including the Share the Joy badge (below) or a text link back to this Share the Joy linky page in your own post.

3) Please comment on one of my posts and a few others. Let’s Share the JOY through commenting as well as through our posts!

Share the Joy will run for a whole week until the following week’s linky is open, so you’ll never be too late. And don’t forget to tweet me the url to your post using the hashtag #sharethejoylinky so I can retweet it.

Feel free to invite your friends to join in – JOY is always better when it’s shared!

  3. I do love the fact that you can meet someone online and the relationship can work in ‘real life’ too. I met my husband online playing a game years ago, buying that game was one of the best things I ever did!

    • I totally respect being an anonymous blogger as it can be a scary thing putting yourself ‘out there’ but it was the best decision I ever made! Thanks for linking up Maria, I always love your posts x

  10. Yay! So humbled to be included in your journey to joy. It was great to meet you in the flesh for the first time in a good year! I believe blog friends sooo make the best friends lol. So happy the girls get along so well too.

I loved the radiant woman post last week too, it also made me rethink some of the blogs I’ve been ignoring as of recent for being ‘too perfect’ and making me a little green with envy. It’s their prerogative to show their lives through a filter if they choose to, I’m sure they have bad hair days like the rest of us lol!
