So I am a little geeky I admit it. I like messing around on the web trying out new things, tinkering with new widgets for Bod for tea (usually deleting them again you’ll be glad to know) and generally wasting the valuable nap time I should be using for more productive things. Which all goes to explain why I was excited about the launch of Gmail Motion BETA.
Apparently Gmail Motion uses the web cam on your computer and Google’s patented spatial tracking technology to detect movements and translate them into meaningful characters and commands. Movements are designed to be simple and intuitive for people of all skill levels.
Here’s the main gestures that you can use to operate Gmail. With these you can write and respond to emails with your body, gaining up to 12% more productivity and increasing your physical activity.
They’re wickedly clever bods over at Gmail aren’t they? I was keen to give it go so I clicked on the link.
And wicked is right.
Because after the screen had loaded, here’s what I saw
Clearly there’s one born every minute. And I’m one of them.
