Share the Joy link up #3

Share the Joy link up #3

What brings you JOY?

This week my hand is starting to feel much stronger! I’m religiously massaging it with Bio-oil and doing my physiotherapy exercises to bring back as much movement as I can despite the plate and four pins now holding the bones together. I’m typing with two hands and ROCKING my scar too!

I still can’t run yet, which makes me a bit fidgety truth be told, so I’ve been taking advantage of my built-in babysitter (thank you Mum!) and taking walks in the beautiful Essex countryside. Rather than ‘getting through’ a run I’m taking time to really enjoy the amazingly blue skies and crisp, cold air. One of the many moments in every day that I’m learning to savour as part of my Journey to Joy this year.

Right, on to the link up! Thank you to everyone that joined in last week – I loved reading everyone’s joyful posts!

Sharing my joy

Each week, I’ll pick a favorite post and feature it on the following week’s link up (I’ve also made a  where you’ll find all my favorites in one place).

Last week I loved reading On Letting Go by Amanda from The Family Patch. It is such an uplifting post full of karma and good vibes and a gift from a mystery person too! I love a bit of intrigue.

This week I’m sharing the second in my series of posts about the 4 amazing books that launched my Journey to Joy this year – the fabulously titled Cut the Crap and Feel AMAZING by Ailsa Frank which I thoroughly recommend to anyone who wants to break out of the habit of negativity.

Let’s Share the Joy!

1) Link up posts that have brought you JOY – Writing them might have made you laugh out loud, opened your heart, raised your spirits or just made you smile. All genres are welcome, new posts or old favourites and as many links as you like!

2) Link back to me either by including the Share the Joy badge (below) or a text link back to this Share the Joy linky page in your own post.

3) Please comment on one of my posts and a few others. Let’s Share the JOY through commenting as well as through our posts!

Share the Joy will run for a whole week until the following week’s linky is open, so you’ll never be too late. And don’t forget to tweet me the url to your post using the hashtag #sharethejoylinky so I can retweet it.

Feel free to invite your friends to join in – JOY is always better when it’s shared!

  1. Thank you so much for sharing my post this week, what an unexpected honour :)

I shall be joining up with the linky over the weekend (have not had chance this week) and am looking forward to reading through everyone’s joy posts!

Glad to hear you are getting out for walks – that’s one of my very favourite things to do. I cannot run (dodgy knees) but walking is a great way of getting out when you can’t run. I think just being outside makes you feel happier, doesn’t it? xx

  2. I’ve started walking more, taking my camera with me, and enjoying the scenery. It’s nice to walk the dogs and see them really enjoying themselves even though they get so mucky at the moment!

    • It is mucky at the moment isn’t it! But such a great idea to take your camera and snap the beautiful surroundings – I take my phone with me to capture my countryside – makes me so grateful that I live away from the city x

  3. Oh gosh, I’m glad to hear your hand is improving. Hang in there with not being able to run. I can totally relate about the running. Well wishes for a speedy recovery!

    • You’re right Sophie, walking IS healing isn’t it? I really must invest in a dictaphone to get all those great ideas down – I tend to forget them as soon as I get home! x
