Share the Joy link up #18

Share the Joy link up #18

What are you grateful for today?

One of the pillars of finding everyday happiness is the practice of gratitude. I write out three positive things each night that I’m grateful for and this weekend my list has been overflowing!

On Saturday I spent time catching up on the last of the fabulous posts linked up at Share the Joy – a huge thank you to the lovely Stephanie from Life at 139a for being a wonderful co-host! – and marvelling at how diverse and special our community is. On Sunday our family came over for slow-cooked Beef Bourguignon and we all toasted the mezzanine that will be knocked down this week in the oldest part of The Barn. Yep, building work is starting as we begin to put our stamp on our forever home – exciting!

I also found out that I’ve been nominated in the Best Writer and Best Preschool Fun categories of the MAD Blog Awards alongside some of my favourite bloggers; bloggers that inspire me, that make me laugh and cry, that weave their lives into their blogs in such wonderful ways. I’m so grateful to everyone that has nominated me and that my Journey to Joy this year has touched people enough that they’ve taken the time to vote. If you’ve enjoyed reading Bod for tea this year I’d love your support. You can vote here.

Gratitude makes sense of our past

Right, on to the link up!

Thank you so much to everyone that joined in last week – I’m loving reading all your joyful posts and I hope that sharing the joy brightens your day too.

Don’t forget that all genres are welcome here – new posts or old favourites. Posts that might have made you laugh out loud, opened your heart, raised your spirits or just made you smile!

Sharing my joy

Each week, I’ll pick a favorite post and feature it on the following week’s Share the Joy link up (I’ve also made a  where you’ll find all my favorites in one place).

Nourishing My Scholar

Last week Erin over at Nourishing My Scholar shared a post about her family visit to Noah’s Ark animal sanctuary in Lions & Tigers & Bears, Oh My! The tale of the bear, lion and tiger who refuse to be separated is amazing and a real lesson in living together despite your differences!

This week I’m sharing the two latest posts in my Journey to Joy series – a review of The Flourish Handbook and an interview with it’s creator; the best-selling author Cheryl Rickman. I’ve already had some wonderful comments on these posts – hope you enjoy them too.

Let’s Share the Joy!

1) Link up posts that have brought you JOY – Writing them might have made you laugh out loud, opened your heart, raised your spirits or just made you smile. All genres are welcome, new posts or old favourites and as many links as you like!

2) Link back to me either by including the Share the Joy badge (below) or a text link back to this Share the Joy linky page in your own post.

3) Please comment on one of my posts and a few others. Let’s Share the JOY through commenting as well as through our posts!

Share the Joy will run for a whole week until the following week’s linky is open, so you’ll never be too late. And don’t forget to tweet me the url to your post using the hashtag #sharethejoylinky so I can retweet it.

Feel free to invite your friends to join in – JOY is always better when it’s shared!

  5. Congratulations on your nomination and your many reasons for gratitude! So well deserved, indeed. Your positivity and thoughts on joy are always bode for a great start to my week. It’s motivating, inspiring, and definitely something I look forward to on an early Monday morning. Thank you for sharing all your joy and spreading it throughout, always. I really appreciate it.

  6. Agree that gratitude is important and recognising it each day helps, but it amazes me that it’s something MOH struggles to do. It’s not because he thinks it’s daft (although he does) but I think down to an inherited family mindset which mostly he deals with. Just proves to me how much of our early life is ingrained in us. Thanks for the mention too lovely, I had a blast guest co-hosting with you last week x

    • As I’ve been learning in my Journey to Joy this year negativity can be inherited and in this case we have to work just that little bit harder to change our make-up. It can be done though and thanks again for being a fab co-host! xx
