Share the Joy link up #8

Share the Joy link up #8

What will you look back on in 20 years time?

How easy it is to live our lives on autopilot, following our normal routine, getting through life rather than truly experiencing every moment! As part of my Journey to Joy I’m trying to live more in the present and appreciate how happy the small things in life can make us. But I also realised last week that sometimes joy comes from appreciating the amazing moments we’ve had in our past and how far that journey has carried us.

So this week… how about we do, or plan to do, something that we can look back on in 20 years time and say “Wow, that was such a happy time for me!”

20 years from now - Mark Twain Quote

Right, on to the link up!

Thank you so much to everyone that joined in last week – I’m loving reading all your joyful posts and I hope that sharing the joy brightens your day too!

Don’t forget that all genres are welcome here – new posts or old favourites. Posts that might have made you laugh out loud, opened your heart, raised your spirits or just made you smile!

Sharing my joy

Each week, I’ll pick a favorite post and feature it on the following week’s Share the Joy link up (I’ve also made a  where you’ll find all my favorites in one place).

Birds and Lilies

Last week a powerful post from Louise at Birds and Lilies about her infertility journey resonated so much with me – and yes it has a happy ending! I also want to give a special mention to Maria from Collecting Moments whose post about being  made me thankful I’m not the only one who gets up at silly o’clock for some me time!

This week I’m sharing a post where I fell in love with my curls all over again, a reflection on capturing magic moments that would otherwise be lost and a really important post all about talking balls.

Let’s Share the Joy!

1) Link up posts that have brought you JOY – Writing them might have made you laugh out loud, opened your heart, raised your spirits or just made you smile. All genres are welcome, new posts or old favourites and as many links as you like!

2) Link back to me either by including the Share the Joy badge (below) or a text link back to this Share the Joy linky page in your own post.

3) Please comment on one of my posts and a few others. Let’s Share the JOY through commenting as well as through our posts!

Share the Joy will run for a whole week until the following week’s linky is open, so you’ll never be too late. And don’t forget to tweet me the url to your post using the hashtag #sharethejoylinky so I can retweet it.

Feel free to invite your friends to join in – JOY is always better when it’s shared!

  1. This is a lovely premise for a linky. I’m certainly going to remember this 9 months in 20 years time as I’m growing my little girl which gives me a lot of joy to think about :)

    • Good question Mich! I decided to capture more of the small moments in my offline journal through words and sketches and I’m also creating a scrapbook of our move to our *squuueaaal* new house so that we and the children can look back and see all the changes – after all they probably won’t remember much about it! Hope you had a lovely day at the beach and thanks for linking up this week! x

  3. That’s so true that we could all just hurtle through life without realising, last year was a big wake-up for me and i’m glad of the opportunities my life changes has brought, but not sure I’d’ve said that a year ago x

Your honesty and strength is very admirable, and I’m even more impressed now by the reasons behind this fab linky. Have a great day, we’re off to the park now xx
