Share the Joy link up #11

What’s the difference between fear and excitement?

There’s so much going on at Bod Towers at the moment I can hardly catch my breath! Between moving house, planning a minor celebration for the husband’s 50th birthday (he doesn’t want a fuss) and a SUPER exciting meeting that I had this week with a major high street name (can’t reveal all yet but I’ll spill the beans soon, promise!), my butterfly mind is in overdrive!

But, as with all of us who’re busy plate spinning, I still have to stay grounded enough to keep normal family life ticking over. It’s a bit scary having so many changes taking place but if Friday’s International Day of Happiness taught me anything, it’s that it’s all about attitude. And that’s MY choice.

Fear and excitement

*NEW* Guest host

This week I’m delighted to have Eline from Pasta and Patchwork as my guest host so we will be sharing the commenting on your lovely posts!

Eline Alcocer is a globetrotting mama of one who makes, cooks and writes. All her ideas find a home on the blog Pasta & Patchwork, a little haven of all things homemade, ecological and pretty. With a pasta‐loving toddler boy and a science‐geek husband for company, she navigates life on the move: previously Japan, currently Milan, and who knows where next? No matter what happens, the aim is to find beauty in simplicity and possibly also to cover the world in quilts and crochet.

Right, on to the link up!

Thank you so much to everyone that joined in last week – this linky is going from strength to strength! I’m loving reading all your joyful posts and I hope that sharing the joy brightens your day too.

Don’t forget that all genres are welcome here – new posts or old favourites. Posts that might have made you laugh out loud, opened your heart, raised your spirits or just made you smile!

Sharing my joy

Each week, I’ll pick a favorite post and feature it on the following week’s Share the Joy link up (I’ve also made a  where you’ll find all my favorites in one place).

Mummy Fever

Last week Mummy Fever got to thinking about Motherhood and wrote What is Motherhood which was perfect for Mother’s Day! Do read it if you get the chance.

This week I’m sharing a guest post from the inspirational and internationally acclaimed Hayley at Downs Side Up. Poogate will have you chuckling into your tea and nodding along! I’m also sharing my own post about being kind to my Butterfly Mind. Hope you enjoy reading them.

Talking of which… hopefully because you’re here, reading this, there’s something that you like about this blog whether it’s the travel features, or following me on my Journey to Joy this year. Well *ahem* The Brilliance in Blogging Award nominations opened this week and yup I’m going to ignore my red cheeks *blush* and shamelessly ask for your vote!

So, if you have a few moments, I’d really appreciate your vote in any category that you feel is most relevant whether that’s writer, inspire, travel, family, or of course outstanding (!). Just click on the badges below and you’ll be taken straight to the awards page on the Britmums site.

Thank you so much ! x x

  6. Such a wonderful sentiment, especially in such a busy time. It’s great to find happiness in whatever you do. And though it may only be a bit of it, it’s worth all the while to discover it amidst the chaos. Hope everything is going well, otherwise. Wishing you a fantastic week!

  8. Wow there certainly is a lot going on in Bod Towers at the moment – good luck with your house move and planning your husband’s birthday celebrations and looking forward to hearing your news soon. Love your quote this week – so true that our attitude does colour our view of things and it is something that I’ve been trying to work on more during this past year as I have a tendency to get sucked into a downward spiral. Thank you for sharing joy each week and helping us all focus on positives! :-)

  10. Just like you, life is pretty crazy here between the move, looking for work, sorting out paperwork etc, hospital visits and all the general day-to-day stuff… so I’m only just joining in again for the first time in weeks!! What a fab one to come back to though, attitude makes so much difference and I’m so glad you reminded me of that. Also very excited to see you’ve got Eline helping out – I first found her through this linky and she has become a firm favourite in my feed ever since :)
