Fab Mothers Day presents for an active Mama!

Fab Mothers Day presents for an active Mama!

My Mother is an inspiration to me! Even at 81 she is constantly on the go with yoga classes, a quilting and sewing group, regular walks in the fresh air and a love of the internet – not to mention playing the most elaborate games with my two little ones which they totally LOVE!

So with Mother’s Day almost upon us here in the UK I thought I’d provide some inspiration for Mothers Day presents for those of us with an active, get-up-and-go Mama that is constantly on the move!

Virgin Experience Organic Chocolate Making

Virgin Experience Days have all sorts of fab activities that you can treat your active Mum to from an organic chocolate making workshop for two to a one day gliding course!

Runphones

Runphones are the perfect way to listen to music or the radio when you’re on the go – the speakers are integrated into a moisture-wicking headband so you’re hands free all the way and I can tell you from experience that they’re SO much better than conventional bulky headphones that slide around or inner-ear buds that are always falling out… *grrrr*

Prezzy Box Indoor Allotment

Prezzy Box has got some fun gifts that would suit a Mum who likes to potter including this Indoor Allotment and a wonderful My Life Story journal so that she can record those special moments and pass them on to the next generation.

Balmi lip balms

Being on the go all the time means that active Mama’s lips can get super dry! Treat them to these cute Balmi lip balms (available from Boots.com) which can be attached to a keyring – very handy! (I can also reveal that they smell divine! Full review here soon.)

Lancaster hotel afternoontea

Even the most active Mama needs a moment to relax and be pampered and new Executive Chef Ben Purton has created a fun yet traditional Afternoon Tea at Lancaster London priced at £30 which could be perfect, with nostalgic candy inspired sweet treats such as: White chocolate truffle & raspberry lollypops with popping candy; Mini pistachio macaroons; and a Caramel & hazelnut tranche. Yum yum! (Pssst… don’t tell my Mother but I’m taking her there this weekend!)

Pamper Parcels

And while she’s sitting still why not present her with a fabulous Pamper Parcel full of goodies like these? I reviewed one of these last year and I absolutely LOVED it!)

What will you be buying your Mama this Mother’s Day?

    • Yes we got something similar for both of our little ones and I really must update theirs too! :)

  6. What a superb list of treats for the active mama! Yes, a total ‘grr’ to inner-ear earphone falling out! And we’ve seen those lovely Balmi lip balms around – they look terrific. The afternoon tea is definitely appealing to our sweet tooths, though. Who can resist a macaroon?

  7. I love the idea of the indoor allotment! Oh and forget about my mum, I want one of the Balmi lipbalms for myself! Love things that I can attach to my keys, at the moment I have some mini Sharpies attached to them!

Not sure what I’m doing for Mother’s Day yet, I’d planned to make a cake and surprise my Mum with cake and roast dinner but looks like I may be being taken out myself : )
